So apparently, less than 12 hours after my first blog post, i stumble along a video of what looks like someone either within the eternal beta, or who has acquired the game illegally playing Zombies from Black Ops!
The video may soon be taken off this blog, so watch ASAP!
What's the same?
Well for starters, the subject matter (Being Zombies) is the same, along with the usual rebuild barrier/open doors to unlock sections game play mechanism. It appears to be the same four protagonists from W@W. The magic Box also appears to bne there once again, and The perks and power ups seem to be the same (Insta-Kill, Nuke, etc...) The worst part in my opinion is that it's still Nazi's.
What's Different?
A lot is different in this footage. So much so that I'm having a hard time thinking about where to start. First, you appear to teleport into the level. The level itself appears to be a run down Nazi Opera House. When you repair windows, there seems to be a new animation once the board is placed (Really hard to describe but easy to notice). A few guns in game are clearly not WW2 era, which seems to clash with the whole Nazi theme going on. The loading screen is very different, showing what looks like a Comic Book representation of the Nazi Zombies within the level. The D-Pad identifier on W@W was in the middle, where as in this video, Like in normal Black Ops Multiplayer, the D-Pad identifier appears in the right hand corner. Also, like in Black Ops Multiplayer, the bullet counter is purely numbers instead of "|||||||||||||||||||".
That's about all the differences I could find in this mode. If indeed this is legit, I'm disappointing that they kept the Nazi Germany theme. Cold war was about Capitalism Vs. Communism. And as such, should have included Soviet Zombies, not Nazis.
But we'll just have to wait until October 30th to find out for sure :)
